SWING DOOR CONVERSION
The customer wanted to increase the loading space on the rear of the box truck. Removed the single small swing door and middle sections of the inner rear door frame. Built two composite swing doors and secured to the rear door frame. Built two lock rods and installed with lock rod guides and bushings.
TRAILER CONVERSION
This 1995 moving trailer was brought to our shop with several rust issues in the lower storage compartments, rotted interior floor, standard trailer clearance and marker lights, and a complete liftgate system on the rear door frame.
The customer wanted to see if it was possible to convert his old moving trailer into a trailer capable of hauling a monster truck. At Interstate Truck Service, anything is possible.
With the interior width and height being the two main concerns, we started removing the lift gate system along with all the components. Next, we removed the complete door frame, including the lower utility box and the last two cross members above the ream frame.
Due to having so much rust damage at the rear of the trailer, the best option was to start over. Once the trailer was stripped down it was time for install.

Coupler Plate Rust Repair
On this walking floor trailer, the front coupler plate assembly was rusted out from years of sawdust resting on top. Due to the age of the trailer caused an extended lead time to receive the parts needed to complete the job.
In order to complete the job in the time frame the customer was wanting, we were able to remove the rusted-out components and re-install.
Rust Restoration
This 1995 dry van trailer suffered from your standard wear and tear over the years, causing the rear sill to rust out. The ICC bumper and uprights were barely hanging on and structurally would not hold up if any contact was ever made.
